Large drink and food menu. Burgers are delicious, mixed drinks A++ great beer selection. Views are fantastic. Highly recomend
On Saturday, I went to The Ocean Deck Restaurant and Beach Bar. This is one of my go-to spots. I usually come here about once a month to enjoy lunch by the beach while listening to locals sing karaoke. Everyone is always so supportive, whether someone can sing or not, which makes the whole experience even more fun. The drinks are always great, and the vibe is just perfect. As for the food, we always order the wings and fries, they’re that good! I’ve never felt the need to try anything else because the wings hit every time. The best part, though, is that as soon as you step out, you have direct access to the beach. There’s nothing better than finishing a meal and walking straight onto the sand.
I loved this place. The downstairs is casual and had live music when I visited on an off-season Thursday night. They have a great vibe and decent selection of beers. Food was decent, but this is definitely a place that showplaces its history at the water’s edge. I had great service and was asked to cash out while sitting at the bar (downstairs) because of a shift change. It was my last evening in town for a convention and I paid, while finishing my meal. I finished, my plate was cleared and I was searching my phone to see what else was in the area. The new bartender came up and asked if I needed anything , and since I had just had three beers said I was ok for the moment. I was considering staying for the Thursday Karaoke or whatever. There were open tables and seats around me. A minute or two after the bar staff had asked about the drink another person (kind of bouncer like) came up and asked if they could get me anything. Again, I’d just finished dinner. I said I was ok for the moment. He looked me in the eye and said, “GO”. So, while I could have stayed and opened a new tab, I left feeling unwelcome. I do know that it was probably because of the shift change and the new staff now realizing that I’d been there about an hour spending money, but it was pretty harsh and unexpected.
First time at Ocean deck was very pleased but absolutely love their smoked fish dip in their ahi tuna stack. Their gator bites are good, but what I really love most about this place is the Serene view of the ocean. The very Island interior decor gives us a comforting feeling and the service was phenomenal, provided by Lori. Thank you for keeping my table pre-busted, thank you for refilling my drinks when needed, thank you for coming back and asking my table after 2 minutes. If we were okay with our meals. You are a rockstar. I will be back just to see you
Amazing Seafood with Beachfront Views! Dinner at Ocean Deck was unforgettable. We sat right on the sand with reggae music playing and the ocean breeze keeping us cool. The gator bites and fresh seafood were excellent, but what made it special was watching the sun sink into the horizon while we ate. The vibe was fun and relaxed—exactly what you want from a beachside restaurant.
I got the Ocean Deck burger. It was cooked to order. I couldn’t quite finish it all. Had to add a bit of salt but all in all was very good. Saved room for the PB pie dessert it was very good as well. Maybe a bit more chocolate was needed. Place was busy. Took a few visits before the server had warmed up her personality. But again, place was busy and it ain’t easy to always be on.
We walked over from the Comfort Inn and enjoyed a great meal. I had the Grilled Grouper. It was cooked perfectly! My wife enjoyed her Crab Cakes. That’s her standard seafood order. They were delicious also. It sits right on the beach so the views are great.
We went on a Sunday night and found a table outside by the beach. This restaurant gets 5 stars just for the location. You can hear the waves. There was reggae music from Esh x Schief and a laid-back, friendly crowd. We started with onion rings, crispy with a hint of coconut in the batter, and fried grouper bites that were golden, light, and full of flavor. Both came in casual baskets with sauces on the side. We split the famous Mahi-Mahi sandwich, flame-grilled and perfectly seasoned, served with pickles, onions, tartar sauce, and crispy fries. It was all great. To drink, we tried their Ocean Deck IPA: light-bodied with bright citrus, tropical fruit notes, and a clean finish, perfect for the beach setting. They don’t take reservations, but the service is quick, and both the upstairs A/C dining room and downstairs beachfront area are open late. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. Friendly people, good food, great music, and the sound of the surf. Recommended.
